ACC Prideriders Club Bylaws

 

AUGUSTA CORVETTE CLUB PRIDE RIDERS BYLAWS: 

 

These Bylaws constitute a code of rules adopted by The ACCPR of Augusta GA. For the regulation and management of its affairs. 

 

(ARTICLE: 1) -NAME AND PURPOSE

(Section:1)– NAME

 

The name of the club shall be The Augusta Corvette Club Pride Riders, hereinafter referred to as ACCPR.

 

(Section:2)– PURPOSE

 

The general purpose to the club shall be to plan trips, events and social activities for members of the ACCPR, and to arrange, supervise and sanction events that promote careful skillful driving on public highways; sanction and promote charitable community events.

 

(ARTICLE:2) – MEMBERSHIPS

(Section: 1)- ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP

 

Membership in the club shall be restricted to owners and / or couples who own or lease a Corvette. All members shall be at least 21-25 years of age or placed on a probationary period of 90 days before becoming a full member.

 

(Section: 2) – APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND ACCEPTANCE FOR MEMBERSHIP

 

All new member’s applicants for membership wishing to become new member must attend at least 3 events before being voted in as new member.

All new member’s applicants for membership in the club must be accepted and voted in by a majority vote of existing ACCPR members attending meeting at time of meeting.

Dues must accompany new membership request.

 

(ARTICLE:3)-DUES

(Section: 1)– MEMBERSHIP DUES 

 

With the Exception of Honorary Club members ages 80+ 

Club Members are expected to pay club dues (suggested)

($20) Monthly, ($60) Quarterly, ($120) Bi-annually, or ($240) yearly.

 

Club Members 70-79 years of age club dues (suggested)($10)Monthly, ($30) Quarterly,  ($60)Bi-annually, or ($120)Per Year. FYI: Members 80 years plus are considered to be Honorary Club Members and are Exempt from all club dues. 

 

AACCPR is supported by membership fees, and dues, and assessments at a low cost. Your dues assist in supporting and donating to various causes which we take pride in, which also includes covering events hosted by the ACCPR Organization.

(Article:4)-UNPAID DUES

(Section:1)UNPAID DUES/ GRACE PERIOD/AND LONG TERM MEDICAL ABSENCE

 

Club dues are to be paid on the terms that are agreed upon.

There will be a 30 day grace period for current members paying the clubs next fiscal year dues if needed by a member. The Treasurer shall notify members (1)month in arrears and those whose dues are Not paid within (3) months after notification shall be removed from calling post and from participating in club events until the arrears are fully paid to Treasurer.

 

IMPORTANT: Any Club Members that are long term absentee and CANNOT participate in club events due to a medical issue, club dues will be suspended temporarily, and will resume upon members own authority and judgement for returning. 

 

 

(Article:5)– CLUB MEETINGS

(Section:1)– ELECTION MEETING

 

The annual meeting of the members for the election of Officers and the transaction of other business shall be held on the last meeting of the fiscal year unless otherwise scheduled.

 

(Section: 2)– BUSINESS MEETING

 

Business meetings of the club shall be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet unless otherwise scheduled.

 

(Section:3)– SPECIAL MEETINGS

 

The Officers of the club may call Special meetings of all Officers when needed to discuss officer business.

 

(Section:4)– ORDER OF BUSINESS

 

The order of business meetings of the club shall be:

a.) Devotions:

c.) Introduction of guests:

d.) Reading and /or approval with corrections, if applicable of the minutes of the last meeting, as published in the newsletter:

e.) The reading of the Treasurer’s report:

(ARTICLE:6) – ELECTION OF OFFICERS

 

The election of Officers shall take place at the annual meeting of the members of the election year (every 4 years), and shall be by ballot.

 

(Section:2) – ELECTED EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

 

The (4) critical leadership positions are the President, 

Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. 

The club’s committee chairs shall include altogether (6) officers including Event Coordinator and Sgt Arms. 

The Committee shall consist of (6)elected officers who shall have charge of the management of the club between the annual meetings, with the authority to discharge the duties of existing officers in office.

 

The (6) executive officers to be elected by the members of the club shall be the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Event Coordinator, Sgt Arms. All such officers shall be elected for a four-year term and shall continue in office until their successors are elected or they have been relieved of their duties.

 

(ARTICLE:7) – AUTHORITY AND DUTIES OF OFFICERS

(Section:1) – DUTIES OF THE PRESIDENT

 

The president shall preside over all meetings of the Club and Executive Committee and shall perform the duties pertaining to this office. The President shall be Chief Executive Officer of the Club.

 

(Section:2) – DUTIES OF VICE-PRESIDENT

 

In the absence of the President or his/her resignation or his/her inability to act, the duties pertaining to the Office of President shall be performed by the Vice-President.

 

The Vice-President shall also serve as chairperson of Special Activities Committees, conduct activities meeting(s) and shall appoint two or more members to the special committee.

 

(Section:3) – DUTIES OF SECRETARY

 

The secretary shall attend all meetings of the members and the Officer and shall record all minutes and votes. In the absence of the Secretary for any of the said meetings, the presiding officer shall choose a temporary Secretary. The secretary shall maintain the meeting attendance roster.

 

(Section:4) – DUTIES OF TREASURER

 

The Treasurer shall have custody of all financial records of the club including Treasurer reports and a statement of the financial condition of the club/corporation.

The Treasurer shall receive all moneys of the club and deposit the money in the clubs account. All contracts, checks, drafts, notes, or other orders for payment of money shall be signed in the name of the club by the Treasurer and countersigned by the President or Vice-President.

The Treasurer shall give the report of the financial status of the club at the regularly scheduled business meetings. 

The Treasurer without specific approval of the club members shall incur no obligation debt, or other liabilities.

 

(Section:5)-DUTIES OF EVENT COORDINATOR

 

An Event Coordinator must have have an outgoing personality, the ability to communicate with people, detailed planning and organization skills. He makes arrangements for all club activities, include suggesting appropriate venues,and providing cost estimates.

 

(Section:6)-DUTIES OF SARGENT AT ARMS

 

The Sergeant-at-Arms is responsible for ensuring that the Bylaws and standing rules of a club are not violated, and that orders of the chapter officers are executed in an expeditious manner. He is responsible for policing and keeping order at all meetings and club events.

 

(ARTICLE:8)– FISCAL YEAR/FINANCIAL BUDGET

 

(Section:1) – DURATION

The fiscal year of the club shall be from January 1st to December 31st 

 

(ARTICLE:9) – EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

The Club shall sponsor or co-sponsor activities or events. Events may include social events, parades, etc.

 

(ARTICLE:10) CLUB UNIFORMS

(Section:1) CLUB UNIFORMS/CAR DETAIL

 

All members upon joining the ACCPR is expected to order club uniform shirts all shirts should be inscribed with the club logo Augusta Corvette Club or Augusta Pride Riders FYI: (Your own personal name is optional.) Club uniforms are to be worn at all club events, any members failing to adhere to uniform policy will be in violation of uniform code and will be fined $10.

All members participating in any scheduled event, cars should be cleaned, and fully gassed up and ready to go.
